Transition to Year 72024-02-01T14:45:14+10:00

The Springfield Anglican College recognises the significance of supporting Year 7 students in their transition into secondary school. The College’s Year 7 program is a tailored student-centred approach that creates a supportive and tailored learning environment, to inspire our students academically and support their emotional and social wellbeing.

The College’s commitment to exceptional pastoral care and academic opportunities is enhanced by our dedicated Year 7 Core Teachers. Students will have a Core Teacher who provides learning experiences for the Core Curriculum Areas and Form Program. In addition to their Core Curriculum Areas, students will study a range of specialist subjects in Year 7. Our committed specialist teachers provide high-quality educational experiences from various faculty areas. These subjects allow students to experience the more independent environment of the senior school. Our Year 7 Coordinator facilitates the successful implementation of the Core Curriculum Areas and Pastoral Care Form Program and is supported by an exceptional team that brings a wealth of knowledge and passion for Year 7 education.

The Springfield Anglican College’s Pastoral Care Program is supported by our Heads of Clan and Head of Secondary. Throughout the year, students are encouraged to explore a range of enrichment and co-curricular activities. They can choose from musical, sporting, service and academic clubs, teams and activities. The College also has a dynamic outdoor education program that allows students to make new friends and embrace new challenges in a safe and supportive manner.
