Our Code of Conduct

Staff and volunteers are in a unique position of trust, care, responsibility and influence in regard to children and young people. Boundaries are an essential part of working or volunteering in a School or Education and Care Service. They help to shape our relationships with children and young people, families, care-givers and colleagues to be authentic and caring without placing children, young people and yourself at risk. Maintaining appropriate personal, professional and protective boundaries and behaviours helps keep children and young people safe from harm and reduces the risk of allegations of harm. Our Code of Conduct for Anglican Schools and Education and Care Services provides Standards and Guidelines regarding expected conduct, including examples of the practical application of the Standards to maintain appropriate boundaries.

All applicants are instructed to read and reflect their agreement of the Code of Conduct for Anglican Schools and Education and Care Services. This includes:

  • Staff
  • Volunteers, generally excluding those who are helping out in a supervised capacity less than seven (7) times a year.
