The College provides sporting opportunities for all students in Secondary School. The College is a member of the Greater Brisbane Conference (GBC) and competes throughout the year against independent schools in a range of sports and carnivals.
The College fosters a philosophy of participation for all and values the importance of physical activity in a young person’s life. Our Student Life programs are designed to offer opportunities for skill development, good sportsmanship and team spirit. All students are encouraged to participate in the wide variety of activities offered, which provide options for the casual sportsperson who just wants to take part for fun, and those elite athletes who aspire to excellence or careers in sport.
Students have the opportunity of playing Saturday sport against other GBC Schools that encourages a healthy inter-school competition using a home and away fixture system, with a GBC Grand Final being played at the end of the term in each of the respective sports. Advanced teams also have the opportunity to compete in elite external competitions such as the All Schools Touch Championships, Queensland Schools Volleyball Championships, Uhlsport Cup (Soccer) and the ISSA Cup (Soccer).
Talented athletes also have the opportunity to advance through the Representative Met West School Sport Program.
Sports Scholarships are available to talented athletes enrolling in Years 7. Successful applicants will be required to represent the College in the GBC sport competition. Applications are accepted year-round.

FAQ about the Scholarship Program
What happens after my child sits the Scholarship exam?
Once your child has completed their exam, your work is done. All exam papers are returned to Edutest, the papers are marked, and results returned to us with a ranking order for each child. We will notify successful candidates once the results have been returned. You will receive a personal results sheet to the email address with which you registered. Offers begin in April 2021 and continue for several months.
What if my child is unsuccessful in obtaining a Scholarship offer? How do we enrol him/her?
Your child can still be enrolled at The Springfield Anglican College – even if they do not receive a Scholarship. The overwhelming majority of students at TSAC are not Scholarship holders.
How many Scholarships are offered and for how much?
The number of Scholarships offered depends upon the test performance of students each year. For top ranking students we offer a 25% reduction in fees. There is a limited Scholarship Fund upon which we draw. The aim of this funding is to assist as many families as possible to be able to access a TSAC education for their children. Hence, most offers are usually between 10% and 20% reduction in Tuition fees.
What are the “start-up” extra costs for enrolment?
In addition to the Tuition Fees each year there are some start up fees: $100 Application Fee and $600 Entrance Fee, both non-refundable. These are ‘once only fees’ for the life of your child’s enrolment.
Can I organise a meeting with the College staff, if I prefer a more personalised Q & A session?
A personalised tour and/or interview can be arranged at any time. Please contact our College Registrar: email@example.com
If my child is in Year 6 at the TSAC Primary Campus, do I need to enrol at the TSAC Secondary Campus?
If your child currently attends The Springfield Anglican College, you do not need to re-enrol for them to come to the Secondary Campus. They are automatically enrolled until the end of Year 12, unless otherwise advised.
