GBC
Last Saturday saw the mighty TSAC Terriers host the Crusaders of Faith Lutheran College Plainlands for an outstanding morning of Round Four GBC Sport. Our basketball girls were sensational across all fixtures, taking three from six games with all other score lines very close. Our indoor cricketers had another very solid morning at the crease but were certainly provided stronger competition than the previous round with both our Intermediate and Junior teams experiencing their first and very narrow losses for the season. Our Firsts and Seconds Tennis Girls continue to go from strength to strength both having comprehensive victories and placing pressure on second placed teams for a finals birth. Finally, our Volleyballers continue with their amazing form, with our Firsts remaining undefeated and three other teams looking for a finals spot heading into the final GBC round.
A thoroughly enjoyable morning had by all with teams spurred on with wonderful support from our coaches and parents as well as our supporters group who provided tasty food, cold drinks and warm hospitality all morning. A big thank you to all parents who also offered a hand to set up and pack up throughout the morning. We have a very special community and yesterday’s hosting was testament to this
This coming Saturday will see our amazing athletes and their coaches enjoy a much-deserved bye. Whilst participation at training has been impressive, it is vital that all players avail themselves for training this coming week and advise their coach and coordinator as soon as possible if not available. It is very important that we have a strong finish to the season when we host Ambrose Treacy College and Brigidine College in a fortnight.
This Friday the 13th our nearly sixty strong College Swimming Team will compete at the GBC Interschool Swimming Championships. Thank you to Trina Meiklejohn and Melanie Ellis for their endless dedication to ensuring we put our best possible team in the pool for this pinnacle event. Best of luck to all involved. We will be presenting the team ahead of the carnival at this Tuesday’s School Assembly.
