In GBC Sport, TSAC were hosts to Rivermount College. With a place in the Grand Final at stake, Round 4 was always going to be a tense weekend of sport.
Congratulations to all three Girls Football teams that remain undefeated and have qualified for the Grand Final. The Junior team scored in the last minute to secure a 3 – 2 victory in a closely contested game. The Intermediate team won 4 – 0 and the Firsts left it late in the second half before coming away with a 5 – 1 win. In tennis, the boys won 4 out of 5 games, with the Junior A Tennis team winning 6 sets to 0.
In netball, the Intermediate teams were in impressive form with the A’s winning 49 – 11, and the B’s winning 31– 6. The Seconds team were very unlucky not to secure victory, eventually losing 23 – 24. The Junior B Netball team won 32 – 13 and travel to Plainlands this weekend, knowing that victory will secure a place in the Grand Final
Saturday’s JTAS fixtures saw a tough weekend for the College, with all 6 teams in action unable to secure a victory.
Both the JTAS Red Rugby team and JTAS Red Netball team played in close high scoring losses to Ormiston College, whilst the JTAS Navy Blue Netball team had its tightest match of the season, falling narrowly to Redeemer Lutheran College.
This upcoming weekend is the final weekend of JTAS sport for the term. Thank you to all students and coaches for their efforts with both JTAS Rugby and Netball this term.
