GBC Secondary
On Saturday 29th April, TSAC played against Sheldon at home. We positively matched Sheldon across all sports in specific areas of the game. In touch football, we won our Junior B boys game. It was very pleasing to see new members of the college stepping up to be part of the Junior B team. Samar Tiwana and Sleiman Ortiz Bou Mansour both scored tries and demonstrated excellent speed down the field. Unfortunately, our Junior A, Intermediates and seniors lost against a very strong Sheldon opposition. In Soccer, Mr Harding’s soccer teams are improving every week. The Juniors are demonstrating unbelievable talent and cohesion. The Juniors won 5-3 and Lilly Glode is continuing to show her eye for goal by converting 4 goals. The Intermediates lost 12-0 and the seniors won 2-0. Makayla McDonough scored both goals & also coached our Junior touch teams. The netball teams had a busy morning in the dome. There were many learning moments across all netball games and specific aspects to improve upon at training this week. The Senior cricket team continued their winning streak with a 104-63 win over Sheldon. Will Foster and Connor McGlade are consistently performing in this team where their leadership and wicketing ability are setting an example to the rest of the players. The Juniors and Intermediate cricket teams will be completing bowling in their technical training sessions this week in preparation for our games against Staines on Saturday 6th May (away).

Touch Football
On Saturday our Primary TSAC students took to the Touch Field to play their first round of GBC. Our players travelled to Sheldon College. Our year 3/4 team played small round robin games against Redeemer and Sheldon. The round robin format gave plenty of opportunity for our younger students to learn the game of Touch Football. We congratulate those students who got out of their comfort zone and competed in their first ever game. We hope this is a lifelong sport journey for those students. Our 5/6 teams played against Sheldon and River mount. Both games were incredibly close. Our 5/6 Red team walked away with draw against Sheldon College. Congratulations to team Red for showing resilience and heart. Team Red were down by two tries early in the second half and were able to claw the score back to even by full time. Our Year 5/6 Blue team were great competitors and were victorious over River mount College winning the game 5 tries to 4.
Next week our athletes will be playing at home at TSAC. Please check the GBC website for draws of upcoming fixtures. Good luck to all our Teams.

Indoor Cricket
The 3/4 Primary Indoor Cricket had a tricky start to the GBC Season, despite the lost training sessions prior to round 1, the players showed tremendous sportsmanship, courage and determination. Great skill and support was shown from every member of the team and we are very proud of the way they competed.
With concerns around whether the 5/6 team would be able to get enough players, TSAC rallied together and recruited some additional players the day before round 1. Although the players were unable to get a training session together as a squad, they showed tremendous spirit and their willingness to put their hand up when we needed was fantastic to see! The players all competed beautifully, with plenty of sportsmanship and courage. Congratulations on a fantastic start to the GBC Indoor Cricket season.
