Last Saturday saw our wonderful athletes and their coaches venture bayside to the prestigious surrounds of Sheldon College. It’s always a tough day out against our Sheldon rivals, especially when playing on their grounds. As usual our students all showed tremendous tenacity and amazing team spirit throughout all fixtures.
Our Senior Girls AFL team continue to go from strength to strength pushing aside a very strong Sheldon outfit to prove that they are genuine GBC premiership contenders. This weekend they face very tough opponents in Faith Plainlands who also remain undefeated.
Sheldon College boast a very formidable basketball program, and despite some significant score lines, our girls played with commendable effort and energy right to the final bell in each game. Likewise, our volleyball boys also faced formidable opposition on the court, doing themselves proud through each set and every point played.
This weekend sees the TSAC Terriers head out for an almighty encounter with the Crusader of Faith Lutheran College Plainlands. We always look forward to the warmth and hospitality offered by the Faith College community and expect tough and highly spirited competition. With many of our students commendably availing themselves to play across two GBC sports this term, it is important that they make themselves familiar with the schedule for their games so that we can ensure that teams have sufficient numbers to commence games. A big thank you to our wonderful parents and carers, who, through their tireless efforts (and ubering!) ensure that our GBC Sports program continues to flourish. Best of luck to all teams this weekend.
