GBC Secondary

Last Saturday saw the commencement of the GBC Sporting year with the college hosting Redeemer Lutheran College and warmly welcoming basketball teams from Staines Memorial College to the competition. The current exclusion period in place meant that the usual hospitality and atmosphere was reduced, however teams’ competitiveness was certainly not. Excellent wins to the Senior Firsts and Seconds Volleyball teams, Senior Firsts and Junior Firsts Basketball teams as well as the Senior Boys, Junior Girls and Junior Boys AFL teams has given us a great start to the season. Throw in an extremely narrow 2 point loss for the Senior Girls AFL and draw for the Intermediate Firsts Basketball team and we are good to go for the bayside adventures this weekend against Sheldon College. GBC Primary

Saturday saw the first official round of the GBC Primary Season for Term 1 take place at Sheldon College. AFL & Netball are the sports on offer this term for GBC Primary Saturday fixtures and the first round saw TSAC teams compete against Redeemer Lutheran College, Rivermount College, Sheldon College and even a  couple of intra school matchups. It was a great day for TSAC on both the netball court and football field. TSAC 3/4 Red got their netball season off to a strong start with a brilliant 13-0 defeat of Redeemer Lutheran College. Another brilliant performance last weekend was the comeback victory to TSAC 5/6 Red netball team who chased down a 3 point lead at the end of the first quarter to seal victory with a score line of 10-6. In AFL, TSAC 3/4 Blue got their season of to a flying start with a 40 point victory over Redeemer Sky. Whilst TSAC 5/6 Blue also had a strong performance winning by 47 points. Well done to all teams who participated.
