GBC Secondary
On Saturday, 18 February, TSAC hosted the GBC fixture against Rivermount College. Many parents, friends and carers gathered to watch our TSAC athletes play Rivermount. The Junior AFL teams had big victories where both teams won over 100 points. The Junior A basketball team had a strong result winning 32-8. Despite the Intermediate A basketball loss, Mrs Ahern was pleased with the girls’ efforts and resilience. Lastly, all volleyball teams put up a great fight against a very strong Rivermount volleyball group. Thank you to Mr Dennis (boys volleyball coordinator), Ms Schuler (girls basketball coordinator) and Ms Creati (boys and girls AFL), who are coordinating Term 1 school sport at TSAC. The Year 12 committee are excelling at organising and raising funds for their formal by providing much-needed refreshments during fixtures.
Our next fixture is against Faith Lutheran College at home on Saturday 25th February.

On Saturday TSAC Netball teams travelled to Redeemer Lutheran College to play their second round of GBC. Our 3/4 Teams took to the court first. With some big performances form 3/4 Red team having to play two fixtures back-to-back. A massive well done to that team and to their coach Ms McGrath. Our 3/4 teams continue to show improvement at trainings and at Saturday games.
Year 5/6 had strong performances across the board. With 3 out of the 4 teams having wins. All teams show respect, integrity and courage especially in the heat. We could not be prouder of our TSAC teams as they continue to show up for one another on the court. Looking forward to next week when Staines Memorial College is hosting.
In AFL, our 3/4 TSAC Blue team played against Staines, and TSAC Red played against Rivermount. It’s amazing to see our youngest GBC competitors’ step on the field and it give it their best effort for a second week in a row. The improvement seen in these players is outstanding and we can’t wait to see how they finish by the end of the season.
Our 5/6 teams played against Sheldon, Rivermount and Redeemer. A massive effort from our 5/6 Red team who had to play two rounds back-to-back. Well done to them especially in the heat. We can’t wait to watch our Primary AFL players next week where they travel to Redeemer again. Good luck to everyone.
