Sports Results – Saturday 15 February 2020
Unfortunately the fields for our Junior TAS Cricket and Hockey fixtures were still too wet for fixtures last Saturday. The teams are looking forward to their games this weekend.
Last Saturday saw the mighty TSAC Terriers host Redeemer Lutheran College in a highly spirited round of GBC sports. Basketball fixtures moving into the Undercover Courts meant for a longer morning than originally scheduled. A big thank you to all staff, parents and players for your flexibility in ensuring that all teams were able to take the court in their respective sports. A thoroughly enjoyable morning was had by all.
Round 2 fixtures this coming Saturday see us venture Bayside for what will no doubt be a highly competitive morning against Sheldon College. It is vital that all players avail themselves for training this week and advise their coach and coordinator as soon as possible if not available for training or games. Our amazing coaches have done a wonderful job of preparing our teams for Term 1 GBC Sports, and if this weekend is anything to go by, we’re in for a highly rewarding experience. A big thank you also to our wonderful parent helpers who provided not only quality food and beverages from the BBQ and canteen but also assisted in cleaning courts, setting up extra shade tents and tidying our facilities at the end of the day. I am continually blown away by the generosity and support of our parent community.
Before the next round of GBC Sports, we will be building on the success of our swimmers at last week’s Central District Swimming Carnival with our Inter Clan Swimming Championships at Bundamba Aquatic Centre this Tuesday. A reminder that all students will be transported to and from the venue by bus and will be required at school by 8.25am for normal Form Class and will return by 3.10pm. We look forward to seeing many of our parent community at the pool. Have a fantastic week.
