After and Before College Care
The College offers After and Before College Care (ABCC) on the Primary Campus for children aged from Prep to Year 12.
ABCC operates both during Term time, Monday to Friday 6:45am to start of school (College bus transports Senior students to Secondary Campus) and 3:00pm to 6:30pm, and Vacation Care 6:45am to 6:00pm (closed on Public Holidays and during College Christmas shutdown period).
The program structure at ABCC is an Approved Service with the new National Quality Framework for Childcare. Activities and programs run are age and skill level appropriate and are aimed at stimulating emotional, intellectual, lingual, physical, recreational and social aspects of each child; and can include elements of music, dance, drama, art and craft performed either as individuals or in small groups.
Vacation care offers students the chance to participate in ‘off campus’ excursions for children in Year 3 upwards. Bookings are essential for ABCC and Vacation Care.This service is available on a casual or permanent basis. The service fees attract Child Care Benefit (CCB% – varies dependent on income) and Child Care Rebate (CCR – 50%) for eligible families.
Please complete the Existing Family Update Form to confirm your bookings for 2017. All previous bookings for 2016 were ceased on 5 December 2016 and, unless ABCC have been notified, your child/ren are not booked for 2017. Please note, there is no need to complete new ABCC Enrolment forms if you completed one last year.

As part of the ABCC program on the Primary Campus, we are continuing to offer Homework Club every afternoon. The ABCC Homework Club will be held in the Chinese Classroom or in the ABCC Room, depending on daily routines. Students will be able to sit quietly at the desks and work on homework activities or research for assignments. Those students who have their laptops or IPads can use them for homework purposes only. Students who do not have their own IPad or laptop will be able to borrow one from ABCC for homework purposes only.
Please note the following details:
- Primary Campus Homework Club for Term 1 2018 will commence Monday 29th January 2018 and be monitored throughout the remainder of Term 1.
- Homework session will commence at 3:45pm and continue until 4:45pm. Students are to sign in at ABCC at 3:00pm, have some afternoon tea and will then be escorted to the Chinese Classroom or ABCC Room. The students will be fully supervised and assisted by an ABCC staff member.
- Normal full afternoon ABCC charges will apply. Please note that CCB & CCR will be applied to eligible families.
- Students are expected to be completing homework and follow the College Computer Use guidelines. Students who are disrupting the work of others or misusing the time or computer access will be asked to return to the ABCC group / building and miss that session. Should inappropriate behaviour continue, parents will be notified and the student will not be permitted to access the Homework Club for an agreed length of time.
If you would like you child to take advantage of the Primary Campus Homework Club ABCC, please complete the Homework Club Form. All children booked for the session will need to attend it, unless otherwise advised by parent.

The ABCC unit is regulated under the National Quality Standards and holds Service Approval No. SE-00001585, and TSAC EY ABCC Service Approval No. SE-40000551. Its recreation and play program is based on the ‘My Time Our Place’ framework for Outside School Hours Care and offers activities that help to develop a child’s sense of fun and play.
