Student Wellbeing

Pastoral care is at the heart of everything we do at the College. We understand that the emotional wellbeing of students is fundamental to their academic success, and so we offer a holistic approach that develops students’ understanding of wellbeing through explicit teaching of strategies to develop growth mindsets, grit and wellbeing. These programs are supported by various external providers who visit the College to share their expertise in these areas.

Students are further supported through specialised Senior School tutors who, where possible, will stay with the same form group through all of Senior Schooling, ensuring strong relationships are developed with students and their families. All students will also remain members of our vertical Clan system and will begin to take leadership roles in all Clan creative arts and sporting events. While building this strong College community is our primary aim, we also acknowledge the importance of being members of the wider community, as such all Year 10 students will participate in Triple S (Study, Skills and Service) where they can elect to learn new skills e.g. Emergency First Aid or participate in a community based service projects within our partnerships with Anglicare and St Vincent De Paul.
