From the Principal
Year 6 Refurbishment Project
The Year 6 Refurbishment Project will be completed next week, and our current Year 6 students will have the opportunity to be the first to use this purpose-built class environment from Term 4. I know that many will have taken the opportunity to peek through the screening to see the three new classrooms, break-out space and covered outdoor learning area. This new facility is a wonderful addition to our Primary Campus and allows flexible spaces and an enhanced environment for student learning.
Primary and Secondary Athletics
On Wednesday, our Primary and Secondary Athletics teams had a very successful day at the GBC Athletics Carnival. Both teams placed second overall. In the Percentage of enrolment trophy our Secondary students were awarded first place. First place also went to the 13 Years Girls and the 9 Years Boys with Boston Willcox (9 years boys), Leila Alexander (12 years girls) and Lachlan Ashwell (15 years boys) being awarded Age Champion medals. It was a magnificent effort by our Athletics teams, and I congratulate all our athletes on their wonderful achievements.
New Bus to Greenbank and New Beith
The College will add an additional bus route to Greenbank and New Beith in 2022. This service will provide our students in the Greenbank area with a dedicated TSAC bus service. Considerable travel time will be saved by those students currently catching the public-school bus to this area. The College is currently in the planning phase and will be in contact with current families in the area for feedback on the proposed route.
TSAC Face Masks
For parent information, the Uniform Shop has both small and large masks for sale. I have noticed an increasing number of Primary students wearing masks and our uniform shop has smaller sizes for our younger students.
I hope you have the opportunity to have some rest and relaxation time in the school holidays. It has been a big term.
My best wishes
